As I reflect on 2022, I am feeling incredibly grateful for a year of personal and professional growth, great memories, and amazing milestones. This December marks my 33rd year of practicing Personal Injury Law, as I was admitted as an attorney in New York in December 1989.
This month also marks nearly a decade of volunteering with Last Chance Animal Rescue, where I proudly serve as Pro-bono counsel. My experience with LCAR has been incredibly rewarding and this year alone I am happy and proud to share that we have found homes for over 600 deserving animals. Personally, a highlight of 2022 was when my USTA Tennis team made it to the National Championships. Playing in the championship tournament was an amazing experience that I was fortunate enough to share with my friends.
My journey as an attorney
I began practicing law with the same firm that I am now a senior partner of, where I manage the day-to-day court and case operations of seven attorneys. Over these many years I have exclusively handled all types of accident and injury cases and have represented thousands of injured clients. I have conducted and defended thousands of depositions and have been in the courtrooms of every courthouse in the metropolitan area. With this experience, I have come to know exactly what to do to help my clients through the life altering effects of a serious accident and how to obtain the results that they truly deserve because I have done so thousands of times before.
My firm has battled some of the biggest defense firms and insurance companies in New York, and we have successfully settled thousands of cases, including nearly 200 cases that have settled for at least $1,000,000.00 or more. Just last month, we settled a case for $7,250,000.00 when a Nassau County jury decided in favor of my client after three weeks of trial against numerous defense firms. This was a complex Product Liability case that I personally litigated for nearly many and is one of the highlights of my legal career!
What I have learned over the years is that experience, a lawyer who really cares, and a firm with the necessary resources to win the battle against the insurance company is what you need when an accident happens.
Why I do what I do – my clients
I am proud to say that my clients have my personal cell number and are always able to reach me. After over 30 years of being personally involved in the cases of my clients, I know how to get them through the uncertainty that an accident causes in their lives and to the finish line. I still love helping and guiding people and the challenge of going up against the insurance companies and their lawyers and seeing reviews like the one below from clients makes my job so very rewarding.
“Mark Freeley is an incredible injury attorney and a tremendous person. After my horrible accident, I had the privilege of meeting Mark and made the best decision possible in choosing him for representation. He is extremely knowledgeable in all areas and is the consummate professional. He was so very helpful, compassionate, and caring. He was top notch from the very beginning to the completion of my case, and to this very day. He treated me as a top priority and was with me every step of the way throughout the entire process with his care, advice, honesty, and dedication. Mark is all about getting the best results for his clients in every way. He was constantly accessible, in constant communication, has outstanding values, and was truly pleased to have him represent me. I highly recommend Mark to anyone looking for an injury attorney.
