Suffolk Mini-Bus Driver Struck in the Rear

A 46 year old medical transporter sustained cervical disc herniations requiring surgery as a result of her vehicle being struck in the rear on Nichols Road. A life care planning expert and economist were both retained to prove to set forth what future lifetime medical care was required and the cost of the care. An initial mediation resulted in a top settlement offer of $500,000, and a second mediation resulted in a top offer of $1 million dollars, both which were rejected. The case continued to be fully prepared for trial, keeping maximum pressure on the insurance company, and the case finally settled at jury selection in Suffolk County.
